Lé Viaër Marchi 2016 - Guernsey's great community event
For over 30 years, the National Trust of Guernsey have annually hosted a great community event, Lé Viaër Marchi, a vivacious interpretation of The Old (Guernsey) Market. This year, it takes place on Monday 4th July, from 5pm at Saumarez Park. Lé Viaër Marchi has become an established and much anticipated annual get together, where friends and families catch up, through the generations, year after year. We have familiar and new marketeers of traditional island food and drink, plus many other stalls, craft demonstrations and merry bands of singers, dancers and musicians. Thousands of islanders and visitors will become Viaër Marchi-er's for this one Summer evening, when Saumarez Park in the heart of Guernsey, resonates with a vibrant crowd and the very best of Island traditions in food, music and song. If you fancy a wander, there's free entrance to National Trust of Guernsey's Museum at Saumarez Park too. Over the next few weeks we'll be sharing some of our stallholders stories and pictures here on the website and also our sparkling Facebook page, so if you like what you see and want to pass the story on, please share and like us back!
