Overview
'Form' – An Exhibition by Caitlin Grupping
Caitlin’s journey back to art is anything but conventional. Although she loved art as a child, her early career led her into law and accountancy before she found herself drawn back to the creative world in her twenties.
An attempt to join a life drawing class unexpectedly placed her on the other side of the easel — as the model. What began as a personal challenge soon became transformative, igniting a deep connection to life drawing and the power of artistic expression.
In 2021, Caitlin founded Drink & Draw, creating a welcoming space centered on wellbeing, creativity and community. Since then, she has worked with over 60 models, supported hundreds of artists, curated a major community exhibition, and established much-loved annual creative events celebrating both art and Island life.
In 2025, she made the bold decision to leave her professional career to pursue the arts full-time. A passionate advocate for life drawing as a tool for mental wellbeing, Caitlin’s first solo exhibition, Form, brings together figure studies in print, oil and textile. The collection celebrates strength, vulnerability and the beauty of the female form, reflecting her belief that art fosters resilience, self-acceptance and belonging.
