Overview

Discover Guernsey’s Heritage at the Folk & Costume Museum

Nestled in Saumarez Park, the National Trust of Guernsey’s Folk & Costume Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into 250 years of Island life. Set around a charming, cobbled courtyard, the Museum brings Guernsey’s history to life with captivating displays on trades, transport, fashion, and daily life.

A standout feature is the National Trust of Guernsey Costume Collection, the Channel Islands’ only dedicated historic clothing exhibition, showcasing beautifully preserved textiles and garments.

Last chance: A League of Gentlemen exhibition (final year) honours the resilience of Guernsey men through remarkable artefacts and uniforms.

New for 2025: From Cobblestones to Catwalks explores 1970s fashion, featuring a rediscovered personal collection of high street and high-end styles from the era.

The Museum also features a beautifully curated gift shop and hosts year-round exhibitions at the Art at The Park Gallery, highlighting local talent.

Just 15 minutes from St. Peter Port, easily accessible by bus, with free entry and access-friendly facilities.

Open 7 days a week, 10am - 5pm (April 1 – October 31, 2025).
