Overview
Wendy Griffin – The Stillness of Place,
Art at The Park Gallery, The Folk & Costume Museum, Saumarez Park
Tuesday 6 October – Friday 30 October 2026
This October, Art at The Park Gallery is delighted to welcome Guernsey artist Wendy Griffin, whose evocative collection of oil paintings and pastels celebrates the beauty, tranquillity and enduring spirit of the landscapes that surround us.
Inspired by Guernsey's coastline, quiet bays, winding cliff paths and open skies, Wendy's work captures far more than a scene. Through expressive colour, light and texture, she invites us to pause, reflect and reconnect with the places that bring peace, comfort and a sense of belonging. Whether painted en plein air or in the studio, each work conveys the atmosphere and emotion of a treasured landscape.
Alongside Wendy's exhibition will be a special display of watercolours by her late father, the much-loved Guernsey artist and teacher Tony Taylor. In a fitting tribute to his legacy, proceeds from the sale of his paintings will be donated to the Stroke Association.
The exhibition runs from Tuesday 6 October until Friday 30 October 2026 at Art at The Park Gallery, located within The Folk & Costume Museum, Saumarez Park. Admission is free, the gallery is access friendly, and nearby parking is available.
Whether you are a collector, an admirer of local art or simply looking for a peaceful cultural outing, The Stillness of Place promises a wonderfully uplifting experience.
