Overview
The hugely popular Viaër Marchi, hosted by National Trust of Guernsey on the first Monday in July, heralds the start of the Guernsey Summer season. Showcasing traditional Island crafts, favourite foods, music and dancing, this is a gathering enjoyed by generations of Islanders and return visitors since the 1970s.
We very much look forward to welcoming everyone to this bright and fun-filled event on Monday 1st July, 2024 from 5pm until sunset.
Many generations mingle, with smiles and chats enjoyed during this large event which traditionally heralds the start of Guernsey's summer.
The spirit of Lé Viaêr Marchi is captured by Channel Island Cooperative Society's film, shot in 2019 when the event celebrated its 50 year anniversary. See here
