A visit to National Trust of Jersey strengthens Channel Island Collaboration

Members of the National Trust of Guernsey will be visiting Jersey on Wednesday 30th April with the aim of sharing best practice and reviewing the possibilities of working together on joint initiatives with the National Trust for Jersey.

 

Following the joint meeting to be held at the Elms, the Head Office for the National Trust for Jersey, Charles Alluto, Chief Executive, and Celia Jeune, President of the National Trust for Jersey will host the Guernsey Committee members on a tour of some of the Trusts properties, including The Georgian House, at 16 New Street, St Helier and the Wetland Centre in St Ouen.

 

Martin Ozanne, President of the National Trust of Guernsey said:-

“Both I and my Committee members are very much looking forward to our visit to Jersey, and reviewing the work and initiatives of the Trust, we are particularly looking forward to the visit to the new Wetland Centre, but also discussing how we may be able to promote each other’s initiatives across the islands and work closer together in the future”

 

Charles Alluto, Chief Executive of the National Trust for Jersey commented;

“We are delighted that we have been able to arrange and host this visit. We have a lot to discuss and share with each other and I am sure that as a result of the visit opportunities will be identified for the respective Trusts to establish closer links.
