Astley Castle - "We made a new ruin"

  An inspiring example of how the Landmark Trust have protected a heritage ruin and provided it with a new life, bringing everything together.  New architecture stabilises ruins.  15th, 17th and Medieval periods work hand in glove with the central hall and timeless understanding of "This is where you sit, dine and reflect".  What a deserved result.
