Dame Fiona Reynolds DBE, former Director-General of National Trust, as Guest Speaker for NTG AGM 2018
Please join us for a unique opportunity to meet and hear our Guest Speaker at 2018 AGM, Dame Fiona Reynolds, Master of Emmanuel College, a former Director-General of the National Trust and long-time distinguished campaigner for preservation of the natural environment and heritage places. Presently Chairman of the International National Trusts Organisation (INTO), Dame Fiona’s presentation, will take place after an informal Guernsey Farmhouse supper and will be followed by Q&A. Focusing on the heart of tensions between the demands for economic development and peoples’ desire to see preservation of our built and cultural heritage, landscapes and biodiversity, both in Britain and worldwide, the presentation is likely to resonate with many. Dame Fiona’s inspirational words at INTO Conferences and in articles in Country Life and the Daily Telegraph, are ample evidence of the passion that she has for these issues. The Trust is fortunate to welcome Dame Fiona on this, her first visit to the National Trust of Guernsey, to benefit from her considerable knowledge and experience and to enable Members to put their thoughts and questions to her. Further information is available here. Places are strictly limited and we would, therefore, urge you to reserve a seat in order to avoid disappointment. Please email: [email protected] We hope you are able to join us for an unprecedented evening at Les Caches Farm, on Wednesday 26th September, 2018.
