'Island Blue' by Gill Harrison

We are thrilled to welcome back Gill Harrison, returning to the Art at The Park Gallery, Saumarez Park with a solo exhibition portraying the beguiling brightness of Guernsey's coastal and landscape scenery.

Gill's combination of watercolour, acrylic and oil paintings form the penultimate Art at The Park exhibition for 2022, aptly named 'Island Blue'.
Inspired daily by the light and colour of the sea, reflections in the sand and changing scenery as tides ebb and flow, she loves to try to capture the moment.

Gill also creates Cyanotypes, an unusual camera-free form of photography, whereby the image is developed by sunlight. These are usually floral photograms, which contrast with her landscape paintings, whilst her love of blue is still apparent.

Opening early Autumn, Gill Harrison's work perfectly transports us back to the sparkling seasons of 2022 and Guernsey's magnificent beauty.
