National Trust of Guernsey's Victorian Christmas Shop opens tomorrow
The National Trust of Guernsey's Victorian Christmas Shop at 26 Cornet Street, will be officially opened by Lady Corder, tomorrow morning, after which and at around 10am, the magical Christmas Shop will be well and truly open for the Christmas season. Elizabeth Lihou, our shop manageress has thoroughly enjoyed decorating the shop and putting out special Christmas goodies. As always, there are new lines of stock to peruse together with traditional favourites too. The opening of the National Trust of Guernsey's Victorian Christmas Shop at 26 Cornet Street, is eagerly anticipated by many returning visitors, as some of our items are handmade, one-offs and once they're gone ... well, they're gone. We are easily referring to Sarah Hall's Dickensian Christmas Mice, 80 of which left the shop within a day of opening last year. Happily, they left in shopping bags, accompanied by adults and not at speed, on their own four paws ... We very much look forward to welcoming Christmas shoppers and can definitely say, there is no other Christmas shop quite like it, in Guernsey and probably, the Channel Islands. Open: three days a week, for three consecutive weeks from Thursday 1st December until Saturday 17th December. Opening hours: Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday and Saturday: 10am-4pm. Late night shopping on a Thursday. Contact: Elizabeth Lihou by email or by telephone: 01481 728451 How to find us: Victorian Shop & Parlour, 26 Cornet Street., St. Peter Port, GY1 1LF
