No. 26 Cornet Street - our 2014 Season

News

No-one more that Elizabeth Lihou can tell the story of 2014 happenings at 26 Cornet Street.  So, without further delay and in Elizabeth's own words, here we are! "Dear Friends, Old & New I have just received the new catalogues and am pleased to see some really fine designs on our Irish Linen tea towels. We are also planning to have some tea towels especially designed by local artist Justine Torode (previously an illustrator at Osborne Books) showing the Victorian Shop. We also sell many Jill Vaudin's products showing Guernsey scenes illustrated by Justine.  Our extensive Topsy Toys range will include unique teddy bears using furnishing fabric and velvets. They are all gorgeous. It is difficult to select just one! Due to customer demand we are going to restock our special Victorian tins of Speciality teas. So much easier than a pot of jam for our regular holiday visitors to carry back in their suitcases! My 'one off' hand knitted tea cosies are proving very popular and I have many new ideas for 2014. As in previous years we are looking forward to providing an old fashioned welcome to both local and visitors to the National Trust Victorian Shop and Parlour combined with the opportunity to purchase gifts not available anywhere else on the Island.  Elizabeth LihouShop Manager  PS  If you enjoy meeting and serving customers to the shop and helping to keep the Parlour clean and tidy. Why not volunteer a couple of hours a week? "
