NTG's 26 Cornet Street - let the decorations begin 26 Cornet Street | News 28 November 2014 It's been an exciting day in the build up to Christmas opening at 26 Street. Many hands are on deck to fulfill a bright and sparkling opening day when our patron His Excellency Lieutenant Governor Air Marshal Peter Walker and Mrs. Walker officially open 26 Cornet Street Christmas Shop at 10am next Thursday 4 December. Our shop manageress, Eizabeth Lihou writes: "I have just returned from Notre Dame School with a box and a bag full of beautiful Victorian decorations that the children have made in years 5 and 6 for the shop. 15 children will be at the shop tomorrow afternoon to make even more decorations using fabric and wallpapers donated by Simon Lovell Interiors. (Simon's mother Mary was a helper in the shop in years gone by). The children heard about recent NTG projects and the advantages of belonging to the Trust and each child in year 5 and 6 received a National Trust of Guernsey enamelled badge."
