NTG's Victorian Shop & Parlour, at 26 Cornet Street, St. Peter Port opened its doors this morning for the start of 2014 Season. Elizabeth Lihou, our shop manageress, has had a busy winter preparing for the new season and what a vibrant and busy shop it was this morning!  Early bird visitors were enjoying an enthusiastic account of the Victorian Parlour's history, whilst others were delighting in the basement floor's plethora of interesting items for sale. A small corner shelf of the basement floor is dedicated to Elizabeth's charming 'Handmade in Guernsey' tea cosies ... the shelf is now minus one, as 'The Roses' have been re-homed on the tea-table in the Victorian Parlour.  In true tradition, there is a mouse in the basement, but he's a dormouse and he lives on a tea pot too! There are many other hard to find gifts including books, teas, jams and sweets sold from jars.  There's something for everyone at 26 Cornet Street and it's well worth making the short stroll up the hill by Trafalgar House. Open Tuesdays to Saturdays 10am - 4pm until 27th September.Telephone:  01481 728451 Without further ado  ... look who's come for tea!  To see " The Roses" click here
