Our Christmas Art Exhibition with U3A Pastel Group

The National Trust of Guernsey is delighted to present the U3A Pastel Group Exhibition at Art at The Park Gallery, next to The Museum Christmas Shop at Saumarez Park.

This uplifting exhibition marks the first public showing by members of the U3A Pastel Group, formed in 2019 as part of U3A Guernsey — a local branch of the nationwide organisation encouraging lifelong learning and shared interests. Founded in 1982 as the University of the Third Age, the U3A now includes over 1,000 groups across the UK and around 400,000 members. U3A Guernsey, launched in November 2015, has already grown to more than 1,000 members who meet regularly to explore new skills and activities.

The Pastel Group gathers throughout the year, meeting indoors in the cooler months and embracing en plein air sessions during the summer to capture Guernsey’s ever-changing light, land and seascapes. The exhibition reflects a rich variety of styles and experiences — from first-time artists discovering the joy of pastels to those continuing long-held creative passions. Visitors are warmly invited to view this joyful celebration of community art and creativity at Art at The Park Gallery, Saumarez Park, where the exhibition continues daily alongside the Folk and Costume Museum’s Christmas Shop.
