Our Christmas Shop - "just how it should be"

NTG's Christmas Shop is " just how it should be" as described by a visitor to the shop at Saumarez Park and shortly before our large exercise of distraction – smuggling a wooden tractor into bag of secret presents.

Festive foodies need look no further.  Our continental delicacies include Florentines, Belgian Chocolates, Liqueur Chocolates and Truffles.  Prettiest foodie item in the shop?  Palest pink, sugar dusted Turkish Delight.

The shop's uniquely stocked with traditional toys and games galore that parents and grandparents remember with fondness from their own childhood.  Just about everywhere you look, there's a surprise, from wooden tractors to pop up puppets and baskets of handmade decorations ... not to mention Ann Segar's 'shapely' pinnies that sell out all year round.

Gifts from the Christmas Shop at National Trust of Guernsey's Folk & Costume Museum are unusual and charming. It's difficult to leave empty-handed!
