Roll back or hold back? National Trust coastal areas strategy
The National Trust is calling for urgent action from the government and agencies in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to ensure all coastal areas are ready for the enormous challenges presented by severe storms and rising sea levels. Phil Dyke, the coast and marine advisor for National Trust was interviewed by the Today Programme team on Thursday 12th November.
This short interview makes compelling listening for islanders, familiar with coastal defences falling victim to regular batterings and the debatable questions of repair, resources and priority.
