The Curious Search for Bric-a-Brac 2019

  We're on the look out for Bric-a-Brac for this year's stall at Lé Viaër Marchi, which takes place at Saumarez Park on Monday 1st July from 5pm. This year, Bric-a-Brac stalls will be arranged around The Courtyard at The Folk and Costume Museum, taking the idea right back to its roots, when the late Peggy Carey MBE and Founder Member for National Trust of Guernsey organised the first Viaër Marchi back in 1970. What is Bric-a-Brac and how can you help? Bric-a-Brac is probably better known as 'knick-knacks'. Donations usually come in the shape of ornaments, china-ware, paintings and collections of curious objects which are too good to throw away. Lé Viaër Marchi Bric-a-Brac is very popular and well-known for the high quality of objets d'art and miscellany. We cannot receive clothing, used kitchen items, or e.g., damaged glassware or china. We look forward to receiving interesting and unusual items which have been much-loved and, for whatever reason, seek a new home where they will again be appreciated.
