Tour season starts at the Folk and Costume Museum
As April comes round each year at the Folk & Costume, we welcome our first off-island tours to the museum. This year in the first week of April we hosted tours over three days, culminating with a visit of the Kew Garden Guild on Friday afternoon, for a guided tour given by our museum staff. The museum currently hosts tours from cruise ships and organised visits to the island, alongside serving the Island's schools, youth groups and local history societies with guided tours, hands-on activities and refreshment events throughout the year. In recent years we have hosted organised tour groups from the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey, France, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Canada, USA, Latvia, Australia, Japan and Mongolia. In 2017 we look forward to welcoming more visitors from around the world to Guernsey and giving them an insight into the history of the daily lives of the Island's inhabitants. If you want to arrange a group visit to the museum special group rate discounts and activities are on offer.
