“It is hard to imagine a more picturesque view of the sea and Bailiwick islands, than that enjoyed from the daffodil field at Jerbourg”
“Bessie Ashworth's magnificent donor stone marks the entrance to this site at Jerbourg, from where cliff path walks are easily joined.”
“The field can be enjoyed as a picnic spot and a place to gather and stay, or to head off on a picturesque cliff walk.”
Gifted by Bessie Ashworth in 1971, this sloping field borders the bus stop immediately before the Doyle Monument and overlooks St Peter Port Harbour and outlying islands. In the spring it is a sea of yellow daffodils.
A pathway through the field leads down to the cliff path which stretches along the coast from St Peter Port to Pleinmont, or up from the cliff path to Doyle Monument as shown on this Visit Guernsey walking map.
