Les Tielles

To walk at Les Tielles is to walk at the very edge of Guernsey's most dramatic coastline.

A chain link fence separates the path from the 260ft drop to the sea beneath and the cove, Belle Elizabeth.

Fields, generously donated to the Trust in 2018, roll down to the cliff path which spans the boundary between St. Pierre du Bois and Torteval.

It is possible to park at the end of Rue des Tielles from where, walking in a south-westerly direction, the coastal path joins Pleinmont and its significant Trust land holdings.

Information

Les Tielles can be enjoyed in its own right, but for vigorous walkers, forms part of a long route from La Prévôté and on towards Pleinmont, after which we would suggest taking refreshments at The Imperial Hotel before taking a taxi or bus ride back to your original parking point.
