Huge thanks to Catherine Leonard for a sparkling talk about the work of International National Trusts Organisation and National Trust's Enterprise Neptune. We were heritage tourists, travelling the world and magnificent tranches of the UK coastline. We learned the A-Z of global trusts from Africa to Zanzibar and how the collective voice of worldwide trusts can really make a difference. We heard about National Trust's coastline campaign – how houses will (naturally) fall off the cliff into the sea and how caravan parks (unnaturally) blot the landscape. National Trust for Jersey's Love Plémont Campaign is a recent example of successfully ridding our exceptional Channel Island coastline of an unwanted blemish, applauded with Best in Class at the recent INTO conference in Cambridge attended by NTG and NTJ. Watch out for great press coverage of Catherine's visit and how the community of worldwide National Trusts substantially work together.
