Our Beautiful Christmas Shops
The highlight of each year, our beautifully curated Christmas shops open during November. Set in heritage buildings and imaginatively stocked with carefully selected gifts and festive treats for all ages, they are enchanting places. The Museum Christmas Shop at Saumarez Park opens on Friday 11 November, followed a week later by The Victorian Christmas Shop at No. 26 Cornet Street, on Friday 18 November.
Christmas stock for both shops is a carefully guarded secret until opening, but we have received the message that "the chocolate owls are back" from the Museum staff at Saumarez Park.
The Victorian Christmas Shop will certainly repeat its atmospheric theme of stepping through red velvet into a magical world with the sounds of a crackling fire in the grate and distant Dickensian street noise.
The Christmas Courtyard Market takes place at the Museum Courtyard on Monday 12th December. A traditional and popular event with festive food stalls, artisan crafters and carols around the tree with Guernsey Glee Singers. There's a magic show for all ages too!

General opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10am – 4.30pm
Closed Mondays, with the exception of a special opening on Monday 12 December for the Christmas Courtyard Market 5pm – 8pm

The Victorian Christmas Shop at No. 26 Cornet Street
Opens Friday 18 November at 11am
General opening hours: Monday to Saturday 11am – 5pm
Late night opening until 8pm each Thursday during December, with complimentary mince-pies and mulled wine
Why not get dropped off at Cornet Street, have a mooch and make your way into St. Peter Port. It's all downhill from No. 26 Cornet Street, in a good way!
