Thanks to our Volunteers who make Lé Viaër Marchi happen

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the many volunteers, helping with Lé Viaër Marchi at Saumarez Park, where around 6,000 people annually pass through the gates and enjoy a fine Guernsey Evening, celebrating the best of Island traditions. Inspired by Founder Member Peggy Carey OBE, in 1970, this popular event, is now looked after by her grandson Andrew Carey, as President of Lé Viaër Marchi Committee.

Lé Viaër Marchi is here again! Our most important event of the year, celebrating the best of Guernsey's heritage, takes place on Monday 2nd July, at Saumarez Park from 5:00 pm until sunset.

Sarnia Arts and Crafts Plein Air 2018 at Les Caches Farm

The National Trust of Guernsey was privileged and honoured to host Sarnia Arts and Crafts Club Plein Air 2018 competition at Les Caches Farm today. Choosing a winner from over twenty submissions was a hard task and something of a bitter-sweet experience. Bitter, because every artistic interpretation of Les Caches Farm entry was such a joy to see and it felt awkward to judge one against the other. Sweet, for the simple reason that we were enveloped by so many beautiful paintings of NTG’s Les Caches Farm at the end of a twenty year restoration project. Each and every submission felt to us, like the gift of sight.
