Clear skies and the right tides make this time of year a great time to walk out to Houmet Paradis. This small island was purchased in 2004 by a group of anonymous locals for the people of Guernsey and comes under the stewardship of the trust. The tranquil island is accessible at low tide and is a haven for rabbits as well as being a great place for bird watchers and lovers of wild-flowers. Access is not permitted during the nesting season of April-July, so why not take the opportunity to wander over at low tide and have a look around an unusual little island while you can. Non-slip footwear essential! Tides and weather information
