Isle of Man and National Trust of Guernsey share heritage exchange

Margaret Rayer meets Bonnie the Manx cat at Cregneash, a Manx National Heritage site With serendipitous timing, our longstanding volunteer and past Council Member Margaret Rayer visited Manx National Heritage, whilst Friends of Manx National Heritage development and admin officer Nicola Pemberton visited our heritage building, Les Caches Farm.  Representatives of both organisations made use of the air bridge between Isle of Man and Guernsey. We were thrilled that Nicola made contact to establish a meeting. Likewise, our thanks must go to Manx National Heritage for quickly establishing an opportunity for Margaret to visit the Manx Museum and, much to her delight, a chance to meet Bonnie the Manx cat at Cregneash. Margaret spent her time visiting several of the island's attractions and said it was great to see what the Isle of Man had to offer – including the world's largest working water wheel in Laxey to the tiny thatched Manx cottages at Cregneash and Niarbyl Bay. It's been extremely friendly and the community has been so helpful. The Manx Museum was tremendous and I enjoyed the introductory film. I especially have enjoyed having my bones shaken on the electric tram. Finally, not least I've enjoyed meeting Bonnie the Manx cat at Cregneash. – Margaret Rayer.
