Martin Ozanne retires as NTG President 2010-2016

National Trust of Guernsey's 2016 AGM, held at The Professor Shaw, Community Centre , St Martin's on Wednesday 21st September, was well attended and we extend thanks to those members who joined us. Martin Ozanne gave his retiring President's Speech after which, Tony Spruce was elected President, his nomination being approved by those members present.  The retirements of Gillian Lenfestey, Costume Curator, Margaret Rayer, Council Member and Tim Spencer, Trust Co-ordinator were marked with heartfelt thanks from Council and those members present.  Gifts were given and a two short films shown, covering our retirees' considerable years of service to the Trust. Jemma Charlotte Field, our new Trust Co-ordinator was introduced to members and our thanks go to Jemma for smoothly co-ordinating this important event in National Trust of Guernsey's annual calendar. The change of venue from St. James to St. Martin's Community Centre was well received, with members enjoying the convenience of on site parking and easy access.  Council were delighted to provide a hearty variety of home-made refreshments and our thanks go to everyone who helped on the sustenance front, the many empty plates being read as a thumbs up, from our guests. Members and Council Members enjoyed meeting again, sometimes for the only time since the last AGM.  We appreciate the ongoing support of members and are always delighted to welcome new members too. We look forward to another engaging evening at our next AGM on Wednesday 27th September, 2017.  Details to be confirmed nearer the time.
