has enjoyed a cracking start to 2019 season, with two major events within four days. The Courtyard has been vibrant with visitors, enjoying traditional craft demonstrations, thanks to a group of dedicated ladies and then, Council Member Nic Jee who demonstrated the art of iron-work from a mobile forge. Joyce Hardy supplied delicious refreshments by way of organic juices, created straight from the fruits of her own vines with ice-lolly cups, plus chutneys, sauces and vinegars. Sounds like an interesting mix, but believe us, when you have the home-grown ingredients, everything is possible. Why wouldn't we douse a salad in Ginger and Blackcurrant? Seekers of hot sustenance were not disappointed. Chilli Bean Jar (a twist on traditional Guernsey Bean Jar), Chilli con Carne, Potato Peel Pie, Hot Dogs and Gâche Melee made for a full bill of tastefulness in a very short time. Joyce's fine food will feature on the Courtyard on several forthcoming occasions, so keep an eye out for these events. Quick-witters took the option to take-home-to-enjoy-later. That's a note to self! Keep an eye out for our future events, at this beautiful heritage Courtyard and Museum. 2019 Dates & Opening Times: Tuesday 2 April – Thursday 31 October 2019 Open 7 days a week: Monday – Saturday: 10am – 5pm (last entry 4.15pm) Sunday: 11am – 3pm Closed Liberation Day, Thursday 9 May, 2019 Private tours (including School groups) can be accommodated by prior arrangement outside of these times.
