Jethou 2015 - explore an exceptional environment

NTG are delighted to confirm two trips to Jethou by kind permission of Sir Peter Ogden.  The trips will take place on Wednesday 3rd June and Saturday 4th July 2015.

This is a rare opportunity to visit a Bailiwick island where flora and fauna have remained unchanged for years.  Wildlife remains unafraid of man and it is often said that Jethou is the Bailiwick’s own Galapagos island.  Wildlife enthusiasts and photographers will enjoy a rare chance to record an exceptional environment.

Here’s how it works.  For either date, we suggest you make your own way to Herm with the 10.15am Trident (or earlier if you wish).  Once on Herm, our ferryman, Dan Courtney will start to ferry people across to Jethou as soon as possible.  The Herm - Jethou boat seats 12 and will be making trips between the islands mindful of you catching the 3.30pm Trident return to Guernsey.  Time on Jethou will be limited to approximately 2 hours but please remember there are no facilities (loos/shops etc) available on the Island.

An early trip to Jethou means you would be back in Herm to enjoy lunch, later trips might be a great opportunity for a picnic on Jethou.  (Please be litter conscious).

The cost of the return transfer from Herm to Jethou is payable on the day to the National Trust and will be in addition to the normal Trident fare.
