Catherine Leonard - making a world of difference with I.N.T.O.

Catherine Leonard, founder member and newly elected Secretary General of International National Trusts Organisation (INTO) is the Guest Speaker at the National Trust of Guernsey’s AGM on Wednesday 23rd September at 7.30 in The Dorey Room, St. James’s Hall.

Dame Fiona Reynolds, past president of the National Trust is the newly elected Chairman of INTO, giving this worldwide trust organisation a strongly respected National Trust presence.

INTO has 62 worldwide trust member organisations, representing over 7 million trust members, nearly 2000 of which are NTG members by dint of National Trust of Guernsey’s membership with INTO.   Catherine is also a National Trust officer with a special interest in Enterprise Neptune, the coastal protection campaign launched by the National Trust fifty years ago.

At a time of geopolitical uncertainty, unrest in the Middle East and persistent global environmental issues, Catherine Leonard will be examining the common challenges to worldwide heritage trusts and the importance of INTO’s collective voice.

The National Trust of Guernsey’s AGM is open to members and non-members, with voting restricted to members. Light refreshments will be served when trust matters have concluded. After Catherine’s presentation there will be an opportunity to ask questions and enjoy a light buffet supper for a minimum donation of £5.00.  Numbers are limited.

NTG are very pleased to be welcoming Catherine to Guernsey, for what will doubtless be a unique and engaging evening. It’s also a good opportunity to learn more about the work of the National Trust of Guernsey, the challenges and achievements of 2014-2015 and future plans.
