Pride of Guernsey Awards 'Conservation Hero'

The new category of ‘Conservation Hero’ has been introduced for 2019’s Pride of Guernsey Awards, developed by The Guernsey Press and in association with Alexander Daniels.Celebrating ‘Custodians of land and seascapes’ and those ‘making the island better today and for future generations’, the team at Pride of Guernsey have asked us to reach out to you our Members and followers with the news that nominations are sought and that you may wish to consider nominating National Trust of Guernsey. www.prideofguernsey.com/nominateNational Trust of Guernsey is Guernsey’s third largest land-holder, safe-guarding miles of coastal paths and many acres of cliff and countryside places, often of special environmental interest and nearly always in areas of outstanding natural beauty. Our conservation work and preservation work also includes properties, public places and the curation of an internationally acclaimed Costume Collection. We are a small organisation with a broad canvas to share, and a strong Membership.Since 1960 and thanks to that strong Membership and support, the work of the National Trust of Guernsey has involved many hundreds, if not thousands of Islanders all seeking to ‘preserve Guernsey’s heritage for future generations’. The title ‘Conservation Heroes and Heroines 1960-2019’ might be a more apt description, for the work that’s been achieved by so many, since 1960 and, with your support, will continue to be achieved in perpetuity.
