Reciprocal Agreement for Members established between Manx National Heritage and National Trust of Guernsey

Visitors to The Great Laxey Wheel, a brilliant example of Victorian engineering, built in 1854 to pump water from the Laxey mines. National Trust of Guernsey Members benefit from free entry to properties under the care of Manx National Heritage with a Reciprocal Agreement signed between the two organisations today, Wednesday 1st July 2020.

  Likewise, Manx National Heritage (MNH) Members will enjoy free entry to the Folk and Costume Museum at Saumarez Park, the only pay-for-entry site managed by National Trust of Guernsey. Following talks between the respective island governments, twice-weekly flights between Guernsey and the Isle of Man are now available to book, with visitors set to travel through the air corridor established between the two covid-free Crown Dependencies. Flights by Aurigny, with no quarantine requirements on either side are offered between Wednesday 22nd  July and Sunday 30th  August. For flight details:  The Isle of Man’s 10,000 year history is invitingly portrayed throughout the MNH website showing rich landscapes, ancient monuments and a wealth of historic castles and buildings to visit.  Staying at one of MNH's three self-catering properties including a 4* thatched cottage, to a basic hotel or a 4* Gold rural holiday home may be of interest to travellers from Guernsey.  If you are not already a National Trust of Guernsey Member and would like to take advantage of the Reciprocal Agreement between the Trusts please consider becoming a Member from as little as £25 per annum.  We very much hope that the newly struck Reciprocal Agreement between National Trust of Guernsey and Manx National Heritage will encourage Members of both organisations to visit and enjoy our islands’ heritage places.
