Guernsey celebrates the safe arrival of a baby Prince

Flags fly at full mast today to celebrate the arrival of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge's baby son, a new Prince for the Nation.  The birth of the prince means the monarchy has three generations of heirs to the throne for the first time since 1894. In Guernsey, the royal birth will be marked with a 21 gun salute from our own Castle Cornet and the pealing of church bells.  London's gun salutes promise to be unmissable with The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery staging a 41 gun salute in Green Park and the Honourable Artillery Company firing a 62 gun-salute from Gun Wharf at the Tower of London.  Both gun salutes take place at 1400 BST.  Ear muffs anyone?!
